THE SAN FRANSISCO COUNCIL OF LIONS
The San Francisco Council is a special committee of Lions District 4-C4. It coordinates the activities of Lions Clubs in San Francisco and sponsors the Peninsula Police and Fire Awards that are presented each May.
The San Francisco Council has a dinner meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month where participating Lions Clubs report on and coordinate their activities. In this way, the results of new initiatives can be monitered and useful ideas quickly adapted for use throughout the District.
Working with its member Lions Clubs, the Council raises funds for and organizes the Police and Fire Awards Dinner, held annually in May. This is the only city-wide public venue in which our Police and Fire officers are celebrated for their service and heroism.
If you are interested in participating in the Council, please contact our Persident or Secretary and come to one of our monthly meetings.
