Membership is the raw power of Lionism! Everything we do for charity ~ all the direct help we provide for millions of people around the world every year ~ every bit is made possible by harnessing the capabilities and energy of our individual Lions. Worldwide, there are 1,400,000 Lions in 44,500 clubs. In our District, which includes the San Francisco Peninsula, from San Francisco to Mountain View, there are 1440 members in 40 clubs. That's a lot of hands and minds, but not nearly enough to eanble us to meet the needs of our local communities.
So we want YOU to consider becoming a member of the Lions. YOU can make a real difference. YOU are the power WE need. Think about it. Most of our clubs have about 35 members each. Raising funds is real work and we're sure YOU have ideas and skills your local Lion Club can harness in the cause of Lionism.
But this isn't a one way street!
Want more of a life? YOUR fellow Lions will be life long friends ~ both in word and in deed.
Looking for stability in a world where it feels like you live double parked? If you have to move, YOUR membership in the Lions goes with you. YOU will be welcomed into a Lions club wherever you travel or move.
The Lions have a traditional toast made simply and with pure water: "Never Above YOU, Never Below YOU, But With YOU." We mean it. We live by it. Come join us and help the Lions help the World.
